SprayBase produces
crop-spraying records to meet the latest legislation and requirements of the
HSE, the Environment Agency and quality assurance schemes increasingly demanded
by supermarket chains.

Busy farmers and operators will find this an invaluable tool to minimise the chore of record keeping. Data can be either input manually using preprinted 'cab record sheets' or downloaded to the office computer from any sprayer which uses RDS Pro-series or Delta-series instruments. |
|
The RDS instruments automatically record start and finish time, application rate, volume applied and area covered. Supplementary information such as operator name, weather conditions, LERAPS information and pesticides used can be input by the operator using simple digital codes. A daily or weekly batch of records can then be downloaded by a cable connection. The program has the capacity to highlight wrong or missing entries making correction a swift and simple operation and, importantly, ensuring that records are totally accurate.

Ease and speed of retrieval of records required by government and supermarkets is a key feature of the software. Records can be searched for under a variety of different headings such as farm name, field name and date range to give just a few examples. As well as a range of standard reports, FBS can produce bespoke reports to suit particular needs such as records for a specific supermarket.

SprayBase records include: date and time crop sprayed; farm and field name; crop; growth stage; pesticides applied; operator and machine used; weather, crop and soil conditions and the all important LERAPS information.
A useful feature built in to SprayBase is the Pesticide Safety Directorate's (PSD) full list of over 2000 approved chemicals. Users will be able to update this list over the Internet together with program updates at no additional cost. DEFRA's latest LERAPS guide is also included in the software together with other useful sources of information.

Future upgrades currently under development include an invoicing module for contractors and farmers, an operator job-sheet module and a full field record system allowing detailed records of all activity in individual fields to be maintained.
